Lineups - Playing in Order of Strength

Question:

Should clubs play their strength of players in the appropriate lines? What if a club does not do that?

Answer:

Yes, lineups should be created in order of strength according to rating. Combo pairings are also allowed. Playing in order or strength might mean a pair who has the best strategy vs a pair who hits the hardest. If you have an entire team of 3.5s, then how does one really determine strength until some matches are played? If a pair is winning consistently in line 3 or 4, then they should move up to lines 1 or 2. Please also consider that the opponents might also be having a really great tennis day. If you have a concern about 'stacking' and would like to file a formal grievance against a specific team, please contact the Marin Tennis League. We will review your concerns, investigate and take any appropriate action if required. Thank you.
